Atahira: The Day After Tomorrow

Atahira: The Day After Tomorrow | Foyer Gallery

31 May 2014 - 7 September 2014

This exhibition encompasses Matariki, which is a time for reflection. The word 'atahira' can be translated as 'the day after tomorrow', and local contemporary Maori artists Raewyn Paterson and Emanuel Dunn invite us to reflect on our relationship with the environment and what we hope to do over the next year for our ecosystem.

Their complimentary artworks have been created through up-cycling materials such as corrugated card and Venetian blinds.

Visitors are invited to make their own Matariki stars.
