The interactive wall under construction for the April School Holidays
Available year-round and refreshed and redesigned every school holiday, the interactive wall at the Gallery is a continually evolving space for tamariki to engage in free and hands-on activities. This is the perfect place to spend 20 minutes or more creating your own exhibition-inspired masterpieces, which can then be displayed on the wall.
Currently, the interactive wall references exhibition Foundations and Additions: Plans for the Heretaunga 100 Block. Tamariki are encouraged to decorate the templates provided to create their own bespoke window to add to the wall. The activity asks tamariki to imagine the space behind the window and the people dwelling within. Collectively, they'll create a scene of the 100 Block neighbours through their windows.

Monday to Friday, 10am – 4.30pm
Saturday, 10am - 4pm
Sunday, 1pm - 4pm
