E-TŪ: Art & Activism
Available all year
Artistic activism combines the creative power of the arts to move us emotionally with the planning of activism necessary to bring about social change. In this programme, students will explore the ways in which art can be used as a platform to spread a message, support a movement and act as a form of protest.
We will examine both international and local artists, and learn about key artworks supporting particular movements, protests and ideas. We will then discuss our own values and create protest posters inspired by Corita Kent's vibrant serigraphs.
If you would like to make an inquiry or booking, please contact Kelsey on 027 332 5496, or via email.
Please note: this is a stand-alone programme and does not relate to Gallery exhibitions.
