Street Art has become an increasingly popular art form, with walls and sides of buildings around the Hawke's Bay becoming canvases for large-scale, striking artworks. In this programme, students will learn about the origins of Street Art - both overseas, and here in Aotearoa. We will embark on a walking tour of Hastings, examining local examples of Street Art, and the meanings and motifs behind the works. Back in the gallery, students will create a vibrant artworks inspired by street art and mural designs using stencils, rollers and paint.
