Collage and Zine-Making (offsite programme)
Ongoing - available all year

In Collage and Zine-Making, we explore the fascinating world of collage art together!

We will begin by learning about key artists who pioneered this movement and how it has changed throughout history. We will look at examples of dada, Surrealism and Pop Art, through to the contemporary collage we see today.

We also will think about the ways in which artists use their creativity and imagination to produce completely new images – reminiscent of the scenes we might see in a surreal dream world.

Taking inspiration from these artworks, we will use collage techniques and glossy images to make our very own collage zines! Zines are small books that artists use as a cheap way of distributing their works. Zines can be about art, poetry, writing, activism, musings – anything.

What fantastical artworks will your students create?
