Environmental Art
Offsite Programme: Ongoing - available all year
In one of our most popular programmes, Environmental Art, students will explore the ephemeral artworks of Andy Goldsworthy. We will learn more about the ways in which Goldsworthy rearranges natural forms in his artwork, and the surprising effects this creates. We also will think about why artists create artwork using natural materials, and how this process can help us gain a deeper connection to Papatūānuku.
Students will then head outside to collect natural materials, which they will use to create their very own mandala, inspired by environmental art!
If you would like to make an inquiry or booking, please contact Juliet Cottrell on 027 332 5496, or via email.
Please note: this is a stand-alone programme and does not relate to Gallery exhibitions.
