Michael Hawksworth: hard SF | Holt Gallery

Michael Hawksworth exhibits a new body of work that includes drawings and collages alongside large-scale oil paintings. This exhibition links elements of early modernist abstraction with the science fiction genre. “Defamiliarising categories and definitions is part of the genre’s effect” Hawksworth states. “This exhibition explores structureless cosmologies, prosthetic dimensions and period futures alongside stationary narratives and slow (space) craft.”
