Shannon Te Ao: A Torch And A Light (Cover) | Alcove
27 February 2016 – 17 April 2016
In the words of a pre-colonial waiata, the narrator describes the night sky as he yearns for his wife from whom he has separated and who is now with the elders of her whanau. We are privy then, to a puzzling act in which a figure moulds and shapes waterlogged towels, intentionally manipulating them into an ambiguous form.
