Tiffany is dealing directly with two aspects of hunger in her work Preserve. Gallery visitors can select a unique coloured wax votive, in exchange for a jar of homemade preserves. At the exhibition’s conclusion, these foodstuffs, gifted with love, will be donated to the local community. Participants get to feed their spiritual hunger, while nourishing those who need more down-to-earth sustenance. In this sense, a double rainbow graces the walls of Preserve; the first is made of artwork, which slowly transmutes into the second, which is made of food.
